<p>This calculator will evaluate at what rate an investment needs to be reinvested at maturity to get an overall equal return when compared to a longer investment. Note, it assumes the interest from the first leg is NOT reinvested at the new rate. Should this be tthe plan the rate required will be slightly lower.</p>
<p>As an example, when choosing between a 3-month investment at 3.95% and a 6-month investment at 4.07% the calculator shows you that you must secure a 3-month investment in 3-months time of at least 4.19% to be indifferent between the original 3-month and 6-month investment.</p>
